Sorting of mined diamonds is carried out by a specialized enterprise in Yakutsk, the company has a quality system that meets the requirements of GOST R ISO 9002, sorting is carried out by certified specialists on metrological equipment undergoing periodic verification in accordance with the requirements of GOST 24104.
Diamonds extracted from diamond concentrate are sorted in strict accordance with the requirements of the state standard for sorting diamonds GOST R 51519.2-99 which is equal to international standards
The sorting process consists of:
- Incoming inspection of diamonds;
- Pre-sorting of diamonds, including acceptance by weight and separation by positions of the enlarged assortment;
- Sorting (certification) on the full nomenclature approved by the company in accordance with the international classification and the State standard of classification of natural rough diamonds GOST R 51519.1-99 which is equal to international standards.
Quality control of sorting is carried out by a certified expert by comparing the sorted diamonds with reference samples.
Storage and movement of diamonds is carried out in accordance with the internal regulatory and technical document of the company “Requirements for ensuring the safety of diamonds”, corresponding to strict industry safety standards.
